Maryborough, Qld is home to the Doon Villa Bowls Club, Queensland's oldest affiliated Lawn Bowls club!

The Doon Villa Bowls Club Inc. in Maryborough, Queensland was established in 1893 and welcomes bowlers from local and far away districts, in both the Men's and Ladies Sections.

Mens Section

The mens section host clubs from the Fraser Coast district for the annual pennants competition. We also host Burgowan/Torbanlea for the annual Bradshaw/Rowston Shield and the Pat Davis/John Coombie Shield between Biggenden and Doon Villa Clubs. Our Mens Fours Carnivals are supported well, with teams from as far away as Chinchilla, Monto and Miriam Vale.

Ladies Section

Our ladies section is well supported for all of their carnivals with all clubs in the district represented and from other districts including Chinchilla and the Sunshine Coast. Their monthly Roast Day is well supported by our sister club, the Maryborough Services Memorial Ladies Bowls Club. The ladies pennants team are a formidable force and have featured well in the medal presentations.

Doon Villa Bowls Club has two carpeted surfaces. The top green has eight rinks and the river green has five rinks.

The club hall is for hire for functions. (e.g. weddings, parties, etc.)
